Entegra Odyssey 24b metal floor plates in dinette area

Good day!
So I’m removing the dinette (putting in theater seating) and came across two large metal plates in the slide floor below the bench seats. Thought they were just surface plates but they extend through the slide floor. They are rather substantial actually. Also, protruding up through the chassis floor is a stanchion with a small crossbar at its top. This is not connected to the bottom plate but is very close to its bottom. Is this some type of support structure for the slide out? Any ideas what this fixture does and its purpose? Thanks!
