Entegra 2022 ACCOLADE - Septic Smell Problem in RV

We are having a problem when dumping or flushing toilet when A/C is on.  We have to leave the RV for awhile until it clears out.  Some have suggested we must have an opening around the A/C inside the roof for it to pull in the fumes.  I work in the Outer Banks and unable to take in for service right now.  As anyone experienced something like this before?  It's also been suggested that we add the vent things on the vent tubes on our roof but also know the A/C shouldn't be pulling in the outside air right?  Thanks in advance for your input.  PB

Sounds like a case of "stinky coach syndrome"

You may need to look around to find them, but you need to replace any air admittance valves that you can find.  These valves are most screwed into the ABS/PVC plumbing stacks where P-traps can't be used, and keep sewer gas from coming into the coach.

They can generally be found under sinks, close to showers, behind washing machines, wherever water goes out a drain and into the tanks. 

The rubber/flexible diaphragm that seals the valve hardens with age and eventually the seal gets weak, and then when you dump the tanks, they get stuck open and let the stink in.

You can find replacements at Lowes/HD/Erc, they are often used in construction where adding a through roof vent stack is not practical.  Here is a web site with some picture's of what you will be looking for:  Auto Vents aka Air Admittance Valves for Plumbing  Find it, unscrew the old, screw in the new.
