Actively shopping for Odyssey

We’re one step closer to our new rig.  Went to an RV show last weekend and narrowed the choices down to a Fore Winds 28A or a Jayco 24B.  Went to a dealer today to look at a Jayco 24B on their lot……parked next to a new Entegra Odyssey 24B.  The Fore Wind is off the list, so is the Jayco RedHawk 24B.  The Commander in Chief has decreed that our new rig is going to be an Entegra Odyssey 24B.  Me being a smart man who’s been married to her for 45 years said”yes dear”😁. We liked the RedHawk but the fiberglass roof, glass shower doors, porcelain toilet made the difference.  It might be my imagination but the Odyssey’s fit and finish seemed to be a bit better.  I have been watching all the videos regarding taking care of the Schwintek slide out system so I feel very comfortable with that.  I learned about how some manufacturers don’t put rollers under the slide so that was something I looked for. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only were there rollers but also heavy duty plastic plates for the slide to roll on.  The other thing that we like is that we can get the regular wood cabinets (I abhor the white cabinets) with dark furniture covers. But RedHawk requires a lighter tan color with the wood so that’s another win for the Odyssey.  Now we need to get down to brass tacks with a dealer.  The one today gave us a price of $115k (included auto leveling system) so I have to do my due diligence and see if that’s a good deal or not.  We’re currently in Florida but heading back to frozen New England next week.  Let the dickering begin!

If anyone has any recommendations for dealers in New England, NY, NJ or PA please let me know.

Evening... we recently purchased a 2023 (orphan) Odyssey 26M from Meyer's RV in Bath, NY. They have dealerships in Albany, NY, Syracuse, NY, Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, Sayre, PA, and a few other places. It took awhile to come together on pricing but we all walked away happy. and so far, their service what with warranty items and general information on what is what has been pretty darn good.
The Mrs and I did look at the 24B model, she liked it and I liked it (if were just a little bit longer). We agreed on the 26M, as I explained to her, you need to take approximately 7 feet off the length for the engine and cab and that end dimension is the living space.
