Cooling the front cabin of Emblem with the dash air conditioner

I am just curious. I know many owners run their generator in order to run the two roof ACs to cool the motorhome while driving in the summer. However, my question is has anyone hung a rod and curtains behind the front two seats in order to cool the front cabin with just the dash AC?
Also, how well do you think your dash AC cools on its own?

We installed heavy curtains purchased from IKEA on a long tension rod purchased through Amazon. The fabric length was adjusted and hemmed by our dry cleaning / alterations shop.
This works very well in several ways:
1. keeps the cockpit desirably cool or warm using just the engine functions while driving
-- can start the generator as needed for cabin adjustments enroute or before arriving at a destination
2. provides privacy and blackout screen, while allowing our cat to look out the cockpit windows
3. the cabin stays cooler or warmer as desired without the influence of the cockpit windows
4. should the bunk be used it will provide privacy while allowing the ladder to be placed in the center
Total investment was about $140. Return is priceless.
