Tire Valve Accessibility

I wonder why I can't find any commentary on tire valve location.

"Back in my day ..." My 1978 RV had steel braided valve extensions that terminated on the axle cover, so I had two steel valves in the front that were readily accessible, with no flex, and four valve extensions in the rear that were solidly mounted. I could check pressure with any gauge, and fill with any filler. After 30+ years, my tire dealer said one of the flex hoses was leaking, and replaced the two on that side with J-shaped steel valve stems that were accessible.

The front wheels have rubber valve stems that are almost hidden by the wheel covers. They are at an awkward angle. I can check the pressure, but I can't fill them with a common fill hose, because it requires three hands. One to hold the flexible valve, one to press the hose onto the valve, and one to activate the valve.

In the rear, the inner wheels have flex tubing that routes around to an accessible location, but it is loosely held in place by a ring, so it is still flexible. I can check the pressure, but I can't fill it without three hands.
The outer wheels have rubber valve stems that point inward at an awkward angle. I have tried different gauges with the two headed valve points, but neither of them has enough angle on the back-facing connector to check the pressure. I saw an ad for a gauge that includes some sort of rubber tip to allow off-angle pressure check, but I haven't seen that in stores. There is no way for me to get pressure into those tires.

I want to go to my tire dealer and have him install some accessible valve stems, but he's 2,000 miles away.

What am I missing?
Does anyone have a part number for a gauge that works?
A fill nozzle that works, that I could use at a truck stop with their hose?

Hey ClaDold,

I understand your issue.
I have a 2021  XL 34B with 22.5's and the inners have a stainless steel flex lines which are anchored in the outside wheels holes with a plastic cup holding the valve to enable ease of testing air pressure. You can purchase these on line from almost anywhere (Amazon/Ebay)
These came on my unit from Ford/Entegra but our Ford dealer cant find them in their system. I know this as one of mine isn't working and needs replacing.
As for air gauges I use this style (see link below) which can be purchased at most automotive stores.

I would include pictures of mine but my coach is in having warranty repairs.
