Entegra 2020- Bedroom Slide Awning

The slide awning had a twisted somewhat.  When we went to straighten it out the end cap had to come off to turn it in correctly and then the spring holding it unwound. Any ideas on how do we get it back together (wind the spring) up so the slide can move it in and out correctly.
